Ordering process and lead times

Context

The end-to-end ordering process for corporate merch in Georgia — from the first brief to the final delivery, with the typical timing for each step and what the buyer signs off at each gate.

Corporate merch in Georgia is produced in Tbilisi — decoration in Saburtalo, Nadzaladevi and Gldani, dispatch across the country and abroad under DCFTA. The standard MOQ is 30 units; premium VIP programmes from 10 units; volume pricing above 500 units. Quotes are in GEL for Georgian-resident buyers (VAT 18% via RS.ge), EUR/USD for export.

Frequently asked questions

What is the typical ordering process?

Five steps: (1) Brief — run size, audience tier, deadline, decoration method, budget in GEL. (2) Quote — we come back within one Tbilisi business day with options, pricing, and timing. (3) Artwork proof — vector or 300 dpi raster, we run a colour proof for sign-off. (4) Production — 5–12 business days for textile, 3–7 for hard goods. (5) Dispatch — Tbilisi same/next-day, regional 1–5 days, cross-border 3–10 days.

How long does production take?

Standard production is 5–12 business days after artwork sign-off for textile decoration (silkscreen, embroidery, DTF, sublimation, DTG, heat transfer) and 3–7 business days for hard goods (laser engraving, UV print, pad printing, debossing, doming, 3D printing). The timing assumes press-ready artwork; missing artwork adds 1–3 business days for design.

Can we rush an order?

Yes. Rush from 2 business days is available for orders with press-ready artwork and standard materials. The rush premium is typically 30–80% on top of the standard price, depending on the product, decoration method, and run size. Rush is feasible for most categories except custom-mould hard goods (USB drives, plastic pens) which carry a longer supplier lead time.

What are the payment terms?

For new buyers we ask for 50% deposit on order confirmation and 50% balance on dispatch. For repeat buyers we offer 30-day payment terms on approved credit. For VIP and Tbilisi corporate-gift programmes we accept a single invoice on dispatch. Payments are in GEL (RS.ge e-invoice, VAT 18%), USD or EUR (cross-border by bank transfer).

When is the order confirmed?

The order is confirmed when the buyer signs the quote, the artwork proof is approved in writing, and the deposit (where applicable) is received. We open a production slot in the workshop queue and confirm the dispatch date in writing within one business day of the order being confirmed.

What if we need to change the order after confirmation?

Pre-production changes (different colour, different size mix, different decoration) are accommodated at no cost up to the artwork sign-off. Post-artwork-sign-off changes are accommodated where possible but may carry a re-setup fee. Post-production-start changes are difficult to accommodate; in some cases we can adjust the run but the change fee reflects the work already done.

Additional context

In Georgia the standard decoration method depends on run size and audience. For textile orders above 100 units we recommend silkscreen (cotton, polo) or embroidery (premium). For short runs and complex artwork we recommend DTF or DTG. For hard goods we recommend laser engraving, UV print, pad printing, and debossing.

For cross-border orders we prepare the EUR.1 movement certificate under DCFTA, the CMR consignment note for road freight, and the RS.ge e-invoice for Georgian-resident buyers. Banking partners are Bank of Georgia and TBC Bank; for export we use the BOG correspondent network (Commerzbank, Citi, Raiffeisen).
